Here's a fresh new look for the ordinary old notebook. It's smaller than a regular notebook, which makes it easier to carry around.  It has 144 lined pages and a durable black fabric covering. If you think it would be hard to write on a triangular page, worry not! When you open it up, the triangle shape will vanish and you would see square pages for more convenient writing. Impress your buddies by opening the triangle into a square and start scribbling! We love things like these set you apart from the regular crowd. Kind of like our furniture:) Buy it now. Still life

This Prohibition kit or “Camouflage kit” designed by Francesco Morackini, is a clever design that plays with presentation and purpose. His design is composed of four functional products: a watering can, a fondue stove, a cooking pot, and a fruit bowl. Each object has an individual purpose, but when combined, you can create your own still for alcohol distillation. We appreciate how instead of using copper for decorative purposes, Francesco Morackini chose copper as a historical reference to the European distillery process. Lucky for him, his European ancestors chose such a nice looking material.

Kang S. Lee is a Korean artist living and working in Mexico City, Mexico. He has created a new series of sculptures paying homage to the Nike Dunk sneaker. The final series will consist of 50 to 100 pieces and he is considering the Vans Original, Converse, and Adidas Superstar for his next projects.

Found and coveted

We found these lamps on a recent furniture buying trip and thought they would be a great juxtaposition for the modern room. They are created using items picked by the artist in salvage yards and antique stores. Love these lamps!

Uncanny design

Inspired by the bold, yet minimal and functionalist aesthetic of Eastern European motorcycles, this watering can created by Kontextür will rev the engines of your plants. Made of industrial steel, this watering can is designed for indoor use, and because it’s so pretty, it will look perfect next to any vase or decorative object in your modern home.

Using delicious cake as inspiration, Leah Rosenberg forms layer upon colorful layer of teetering stacks of paint in her Paint Stacks series.

What a drip!

British-Japanese designer Reiko Kaneko pushes the boundaries when it comes to fine bone china. Gone away are traditional figurines or your grandmother’s not-so-exciting tea set, and replaced with beautiful, modern designs, oftentimes inspired by her Japanese heritage. Now back to that tea set… The Drip Tease collection might be a classic looking tea set in form, but this one has a bit of a contemporary twist.

Need an airbag!

We don’t know about you but we travel a lot. We were delighted when our eyes feasted on the AirBag . Designed by Michael Young for Hong Kong brand Zixag , this super lightweight carry-on looks to be the answer to all our luggage must haves – well designed, durable, and just plain smart. The single-stalk handle means more compartment space inside, meaning only one bump down the center instead of two. Hope to have this for our furniture shopping trip to High Point Market in April!

Metal Mashup

Image
David Clarke is often cited as one of Britain’s most highly innovative silversmiths. Producing a wealth of covetable objects, pivotal in the renaissance of contemporary British silversmithing and metalwork. The aesthetic most often associated with Clarke’s work relates to the subversive nature in which he responds to the entrenched traditions of silversmithing, often taking it to surprising extremes. This absolute willingness to experiment and play sets Clarke apart.

Zippy

I don’t know about you, but a lot of the dudes (like Carl H.) haven’t perfected the art of tying a tie. If you don’t have to wear a tie on a daily basis, it’s not a skill you necessarily need to master. Enter the most genius thing ever: a tie that zips and unzips – no tying required! The ZIP TIE is completely idiot-proof. Just the way we like it!
